bridgesellerUmm…extra toxic these days. These guys are exhausting. Each one of these guys is a bully in his own way. McMahon has been such a jerk lately. Windhorst pounding his chest like he “discovered” the Thunder and Bontemps just not knowing when to quit. These three bully each other relentlessly. Who would want to listen to this? It seems okay at first, but becomes tiresome quickly.

RDave4Almost thereSince Zach Lowe got taken off the air, this has become my favorite basketball podcast, but there are two things to improve: there’s too much interrupting of each other, and tell the editor that commercials should come in between topics, not sentences.
-
mrb55ORStick to TOPIC! Warriors???You promised some content about the Warriors you started, and then got distracted/ interrupted, and never got back to the subject. Come on! that’s your job Wendy or at least Bontemp should’ve brought you back to the topic except that he was one of the distractions.
-
KIMBERTHUGContentiousReally bad mix of personalities. There’s one guy, Bontemps?, who is confrontational and defensive. It’s bizarre; he brings everything down. I enjoy Windhorst so I thought I’d give the podcast a try but he desperately needs to replace one of the guys.
-
t.sr95Do y’all even like basketball???Been listening for awhile and Windy these dudes don’t sound like they like basketball. All these digs and slights on players. Go cover something else cause it’s clear you are hate watching these games. Bontemps, how many years did Nico said they had? You literally repeated 12 times in a 20 mins span. New material for the love of ducking god
-
Chuck Beck33Show losing fireThis show used to be a good listen but now it’s devolved into a hypercritical show where they constantly talk about only 3 realistic teams to win a title and everyone else stinks. These guys obviously hate their jobs and covering the league. They trash a lot of players and really only get excited when they talk about restaurants and their hotel accommodations.
-
FrieleauxKyrieI must say I was not pleased with Kyrie’s behavior in Brooklyn, but you are correct when you observe how much he has grown in Dallas-very impressive. The way he honors Luka in a very delicate situation, excellent. I agree with the observations that the Mav’s leadership should try to keep him long term. That would be a smart move. Yes it may even attract other players who have tremendous respect for him.
-
Zkjsmcw90CringeThe last thing anyone wants to hear is more lies from Bontemps. Ultimate hater of the game and he sucked in high school.
-
gbxdfgCo-hosts are kind of toxicI like listening to Windhorst. He has knowledgeable takes and great insider insights. I don’t make it through a lot of the podcasts due to the insufferable behavior of the co-hosts. They interrupt way too much and cut on Windhorst in a non-funny and mean spirited way.
-
JordanJerComSome of these comments are ridiculous lol. The vast majority of normal people have no complaints. The pod is amazing as is, please keep everything the exact same 🙏🏼
-
JoeboeyoBig bad banned MacmahonWindy bonty love you guys but after macmahons week of arrogance and pocket filled reporting I will never listen to this again. Was a fun 3 years though truly.
-
Gadamer's ghostJust sayingBrian Windhorst is stupid
-
JesseHaleyLeBron’s CoattailsBrian gets cranky when he has to work.
-
JknowsballTrade Bontemps for a six packI’ve listened for a while but the personality mix is making the show an increasingly difficult listen. Bontemps in particular seems desperate to fact check every minute detail. There is rarely flow to the show as a result. The only saving grace is Tim McMahon. I think there’s usually pretty good flow with McMahon and Windhorst, but something has to be done with Bontemps bc it is not working as a trio.
-
Connie-HawkinsTime to say goodbyeBeen listening for multiple years, but have to take a break. TB can’t help himself when it comes to cutting co-hosts off and arguing every single point. He doesn’t offer helpful analytics, real league insight, or a relatable personality. Just an abundance of “what are we doing here?” As if it’s not his literal job to openly and thoroughly discuss NBA topics. Need more Bobby Marks or someone fresh. Definitely missing the Lowe Post podcast.
-
Obi-Wan '15not even closeDecent but not even close to being a good podcast. winD and mcmahon are kinda lousy. Zach Lowe was so much better. The Locked on Podcasts are a solid replacement for team specific analysis. If you just need an NBA fix, this ain’t it.
-
dont dox me pleaseMouthpieceLike the podcast, but todays episode was brutal. Windy’s stance on the AD trade update was bad. His injury history does matter and making the win now trade for him while injured needs to be held against Nico.
-
Jfleming40Windy is just a corporate mouthpiece nowThis show has gone downhill and the recent episode was insufferable.
-
tommzmust1Brian Bingo VindyWindy is a hard worker no doubt that, sleep is a rarity and all, but the guy is a bingo. Please try to get more sleep in and play those brainy games on your phone.
-
SteelCityCBRWindhorst needs to find better guestsThe knowledge base is strong and unmatched…which is the only reason I keep listening. The personality mix is HORRIBLE and unbearable at times. Brian is talented, knowledgeable, and connected enough to carry the show by himself. He can find better guests that complement him and the nuances he wants to discuss each show.
-
DjjdjsjdjfjfndJust fineI like these guys just fine, I’m extremely glad to have them; but come on ESPN, getting rid of Zach Lowe but keeping TB?!? Boneheaded move.
-
Sterling Blount5 of emI don’t get these reviews. These guys are just talking hoop like they’re friends at a bar. It doesn’t have to be 100% buttoned up all the time
-
ChaDrag2Bontemps needs to goBasketball knowledge is high but the negativity and arguing are also high. More Bobby Marks.
-
CoorsDotBontemps ruins itI so wish I could again listen to this podcast, which was my favorite before Bontemps became a regular part of it. Now I’ve gone about 2 years without listening and never will again as long as I have to hear that voice and combative, whiny tone. We know that ESPN sees these comments, and there are so many just like this one. Will they ever act?
-
ZjipTim Bontemps quit interruptingThis show would likely be the best basketball podcast if Tim B would learn to let someone finish a thought before interrupting them. Tim is very knowledgeable, but man when he cuts these guys off I want to pull my hair and eyes out because no one can finish a sentence ever. Can’t believe they haven’t corrected this yet. Please someone talk to Tim asap.
-
Dr CaptainFalconInterruptingYou know that married couple that fights 90% of the time? Reminds me of that. Windy and McMahon are both smart dudes. Both have good things to say but half the podcast is them arguing over some inconsequential thought. Get a therapist or a mediator. Stop interrupting each other. It’s terrible.
-
MFW1331Three NBA Pro’sI’m fascinated by the collective basketball knowledge of the three of them. I grew up in NYC and thought I had an above average basketball IQ but am always amazed of how much I don’t know about pro basketball. The Hoop Collective is a gift.
-
Mason Jones TownOdd fascinationThis is the only podcast I’ve ever heard where all three hosts do not like each other. Most of this show involves Brian, Tim and Tim correcting each other or taking passive aggressive digs at each other. Some moments get so awkward that I have to fast forward like I’m watching an early episode of the Office. The basketball reporting is top notch, but this personality mix is not working.
-
HubestarI love this pod…… because of the chemistry of the three hosts. Also because they are passionate basketball purists ie they love great basketball. This is why it falls a little on hollow ears when they defend why the league is in such ‘great’ shape. Unlike most of us, they are not fans of any clubs. They don’t understand how/why we seldom watch games when our teams are not playing, why MLB just passed NBA in revenues. While basketball quality may be great, it is hard for the league to do well when OKC/Memphis/Denver/Timberwolves are doing so much better than the Warriors/Lakers/Mavericks.
-
Medrick91Bam is way off on thisBam has tunnel vision on this particular topic. The average fan does not go to games regularly or sit at home with 2 tv’s on the NBA. Of course he is seeing more diversity in play with that amount of NBA saturation. I’m turning on the games every now and then, when I actually have time to watch and chances are I’m going to see Curry or Tatum shooting a 3 pointer, I’m 42 and I miss 90’s basketball with all of its personality, grit and low scores!
-
StaceyAugmon5 without BontempsI’ve listened for quite a bit, however, when Bontemps starts speaking I tune out. He is the epitome of a troll. Based on other reviews, I feel validated knowing others feel my pain yet disheartening knowing that he’s still there and we all have to suffer through his general unpleasantness. Other than him, it’s great.
-
Ramon707Terrible podcastWindy has the worst takes and doesn’t do his homework on topics unless he’s talking about LeBron.
-
Total hoop manFor NBA wonksLove the chatter, the inside the industry tidbits and the enthusiasm for the game and its players. But I get tired of the endless ribbing between the hosts and the bickering over endlessly repetitive items that should take 20 seconds but go on for 2 minutes. At best it’s really enjoyable and I learn something but at worst it’s like being at a boring dinner party with a bunch of uncles who were competitive high school ballers and think they know everything.
-
Maaaaaaaattttttt33Way better pods out thereThree blowhards talking out their ***
-
Andi434343LakersI enjoy your pod except your lakers coverage. It’s too bad the 3 of you can’t be neutral when talking about the lakers. Your loathing and disdain for “having” to cover them is disappointing and hard to stomach. Be better
-
Hue bkeep ‘em coming(no diddy) please!!!Always love the show , listening since ‘18(louder audio please!)
-
Daniel B SwartzAnother TimeAfter the “baller of the year” episode, I kindly need to take a small break from this podcast. It’s too intense.
-
A now former listenerCould be betterShow would be so much better without Bontemps. I don’t think he understands how whiney he sounds. You can really tell he worked for the New York post.
-
Dw19922222Crybaby bontemptsI love the pod I love nerding out about ball but I no longer can take bontempts anymore the minute windy or Tim make a. Mistake he has to carry on correcting them for 5-6 minutes terrible for an audio experience
-
copperfieldd3 point problemGreat show. Here’s my solution to making the game more exciting: Limit the number of three point shots per game (10 per half per team?) & maybe allowing 2 three point attempts per team in final two minutes.
-
heynowniceshotBrian great Tim awfulLove Brian and his valuable insight but Tim easily has the WORST podcast voice maybe of all time. He yells and his voice hurts my ears. He should go back and stick to writing. His voice is awful.
-
Saboethan02Good Content, Bad ChemistryThe NBA is fantastic content and always good drama. The Hosts are obviously well-sourced and very knowledgeable about both in-game stuff and league stuff. Hoop Collective is a very compelling discussion and strong analysis, but not very good chemistry between the hosts. You guys need to stop interrupting each other every other sentence. No one is ever allowed to finish their point lol. Thats what makes it sometimes hard to follow. But overall a fun pod.
-
Rafa PostelLTLFTCI really liked the pod with Pelton and Herring. Better chemistry with Windhorst and more informative than usual. Good pod anyway thanks
-
oldslow runnerOverall informativeEntertaining pod even though Tim Bontemps thinks the NBA world revolves around the Knicks who have not won a championship in 50 years
-
Shaun SinEnjoyableThis podcast is great at covering many of the behind the scenes moments in the NBA. The insider coverage is honest and fair. One issue is that Windy sometimes talks over the guests or cuts them off outright. It keeps guests from finishing their thought. Other than that, it’s fantastic.
-
Durham PGUnlistenableWindy is good but Bontemps makes this unlistenable.
-
Raj FanZionBig fan of the show. You guys were too callous regarding Zion. He is a unique talent with a unique body. He does not want to be in this position. Stop being so transactional. Place yourself in his shoes. I’m sure you don’t like when others call for you to be fired. Have more respect for a talent we all want to see succeed.
-
Gipp715Getting worseBontemps drags the show down with his poor attitude and obvious biases.

nba247One of the best hoop podsOne of the best nba pods out there, but please, reserve special guests and what not for the mid week episodes. The Monday and Friday pods should be the core group recapping the weekend and summing up the work week. M-F workers have trouble keeping up with the league bc of how games are scheduled
