    AAAA!❤️
This podcast is lovely! It’s an anthology that starts to have an overall plot. The characters always have me invested no matter how fantastical the story is! I love this podcast♥️

    So much fun!
I am usually too lazy to write reviews, but the episode titled Descending forced my hand. The end is FANTASTIC because I was so sucked into the first exhibit! I can’t say anything without spilling, but if you love weird that spans from funny to dark you have to check out this show

    So so so lovely
This podcast has such a compelling concept that it executes beautifully. The audio tour guide is quickly becoming my favorite podcast protagonist as I absolutely adore their character development. The story goes in places you definitely won’t expect at first but all the plot twists are very well done. Looking forward to all the new episodes to come!

    Love this podcast
The theme is wonderful. I love the side stories. I’m thrown off by the constant use of “they” not sure if it’s a gender neutral thing or a native language habit. But it is confusing who he is referencing. Especially when the narrator has made it clear the character is female or male and the narrator keeps saying they? Which one? Or if he is referencing a group of people. One episode specifically was confusing. Overall, loved the podcast. The beast was unnerving. Loved it.

    Excellent storytelling
This is a fantastic podcast of weird/spooky stories and an intriguing meta-narrative.

    Incredible
I sometimes think the golden age of audio dramas has already occurred. Ars Paradoxica, early Tanis, The Magnus Archives etc. all came out years ago and since then I haven’t heard many truly great episodic podcasts. This is an exception. Truly incredible.

    CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED
No seriously I listened to all of what is currently out in 2 days. This podcast is wonderful, I’m so dearly attached to the tour guide and the way it weaves in small details throughout the story that directly lead to many of the twists, reveals, and culminations is wonderful. Just an expertly crafted podcast and I can’t wait for more.

    Blend Of Anthology And Serialization
An anthology supernatural show, with the framing device of listening to an audio tour guide in a museum telling a story about/surrounding an object (1-3 per episode). A few of the stories are interconnected and a larger plot builds in the second season. The supernatural stories are mostly horror in nature, but some are more hopeful, which provides variety - some stories are like SCPs, while others are like fairy tales; some are original, while others are retellings (Cottingley Fairies, the devil and Robert Johnson). I like how the first letter of each episode title creates an acronym related to the season. The main character, an AI, has a fun sense of humor and the overarching story regarding its personhood is interesting.

    Absolutely wonderful
What an incredible show. Pacing is great, as are the narrative and character development. I just adore every bit of it and can’t wait for more!

This is a great storytelling podcast
I learned of this podcast thanks to the 2021 Audioverse Awards and I'm glad I did. I like the premise, that each episode is told to a visitor to the Mistholme Museum by an audio tour guide (voiced by show author Dom Guilfoyle) as the visitor approaches various "alternatural" exhibits. The stories are well-told and the humor of the audio tour guide is properly dry. There's also a nice running joke at the start of season 2 9no spoilers) about how an "alternatural event" has occured and the audio guide is unsure of how the visitor has gotten in, since the Museum has been locked down for three months (from May to August of 2020). Fun to listen to, informative, with just a touch of creepiness!

    Nice, creepy pod!
I think most reviews mention this, but Mistholme Museum gives strong Magnus Archives vibes. Very creepy and tightly produced. I love the concept and the writing. Very nice!

    Funny and heartwarming!
A perfect blend of “monster of the week” and overarching plot I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. The museum feels like the sort of place you’re not sure if you want to visit or not but if you go the guide is definitely a friend you want to have with you!

    I love it bro!!!
I’ve been binging this for the past few days and I love it so much!! if y’all liked tma listen to this next!

    Fabulous Fun!
Please do not judge this podcast by the first 2 or 3 episodes - they aren’t bad, but the later episodes get so much better. Witty, interesting and creative writing match Dom’s (our tour guide) narration with entertaining results. Can’t wait for the next episode!

I love the audio tour guide
This show needs more love. The stories are atmospheric and bring forth a wide range of emotions. Heartwarming, heartbreaking, terrifying, etc. The stories often play on traditional myths and legends in new ways, often in ways that show genuine compassion for the weird or outcast. The best part, however, is slowly getting to see the personhood in the AI main character and helplessly falling in love with it. Please give this show a chance. You won’t regret it.

    Fantastic
This show is amazing. It’s on overarching story told through an anthology type setting against the back drop of a collection of supernatural items. The individual stories are crazy good and the bigger story itself is (to put lightly) utterly captivating. The narration is spot on m. I can’t recommend this enough.

    Quickly becoming a new favourite
This podcast deserves more attention. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and has a great element of humour incorporated very well without being downright ridiculous. The stories are so different from each other which makes them all the more memorable. This is an amazing podcast I hope the creators will be able to continue making more of this great content.

    Thoroughly Enjoyable!!!
Great narration, interesting stories, fun premise!

Takes two episodes to hit its stride, but great
The first two episodes are by far the weakest, which is unfortunate. But the show then rapidly builds itself into something really cool. Clever stories, good narrative arc, relaxing voice. Would highly recommend to Magnus Archive fans.

    great!
binge listened to all the podcasts in two days, really interesting concept and execution!

    Great and calming listen
This is good anthology podcast with an overarching plot. The stories USUALLY don’t tie in with the plot, but regardless they’re really cute, fun, and creative stories. The speaker really put his voice to good use. He’s very soothing to listen to. Looking forward to where this keeps going!

    Hidden gem
I recently discovered The Mistholme Museum when it was recommended to fans of the Magnus Archives. Mistholme is a fantastic podcast! It's the story of a very strange museum (of mystery, morbidity and mortality), as told by the audio guide for the museum. It's hard to say more without spoiling it, but the stories are fantastic. Each episode has different stories within it, as well as a larger meta-narrative. If you like the Magnus Archives, you'll certainly like this show (although it's generally less dark than TMA). I highly recommend trying this show - the voice acting is fantastic and the story is a ton of fun!

    Spooky and lovely!
Really fun and interesting with really great voice acting/sound design If you like Welcome to NightVale or The Magnus Archives then you’ll love this!

    My kind of Mmm
Found this podcast randomly. Binged the entire series in 2 days! Can’t wait for more!!

    Retelling of other stories
The museum aspect is interesting, but google “the Cottingley Fairies” and “the devil and Robert Johnson”, and you have the first 2 episodes.

    a fantastic and curious series
I was first asked to try listening to Mistholme earlier this fall by a friend with similar interests to my own in the realm of audio drama podcasts, horror, fantasy, and the emerging genre of weird fiction. The premise, writing, sound design, and the lead voice talent have me hooked. I adore it so much that I've taken to keeping track of the story's lore by editing the fandom wiki I established for the podcast. If you enjoy other podcasts like Archive 81, The Magnus Archives, or Mabel, you should consider giving Mistholme a listen.

    Amazing weird fiction podcast
I absolutely fell in love with this show, and binged it all almost immediately. The narrator is a tour guide and each episode is the history of different (mostly supernatural) objects. Such a great format. If anyone is familiar with Aaron Mahnke's Cabinet of Curiosities - which I found disappointing - this is the fiction version of what I wanted from that podcast. Almost like a lighter version of the SCP Archives. Highly recommended!

The Warehouse 13 meets Black Mirror meets the Museum of Jurassic Technology
This is fantastic! It’s like warehouse 13 had an audio tour. Very much like the museum of Jurassic technology- wonderful stories, excellent production quality. Really excited for more of these.

    Good Stuff!
Solid writing and a good concept makes for a very enjoyable podcast. The show features smart twists on classic tales (Cottongley Faires, the devil and Robert Johnson) that are at once familiar and fresh. Voice actor is able to smoothly transition his tone from funny and sarcastic to serious and intense. Thank you for making a new favorite, keep up the good work!
