    Still Great Content!
Chet Zar continues to delivery great content with fascinating guest artists, despite the loss of co-host Mike Correll (episodes #1-89). Zar’s laid back style and reliable weekly content always leave me with deep thoughts, and carries me through my creative work seamlessly! If you miss Correll check out his podcast “The New Archaic Revival”, also on iTunes.

Not just for Dark Artists and Dark Art Collectors

    Podcast
Never ever a dull moment. Listening while painting and wish it would go on for longer so I don’t have to figure out what to listen to next. Chet has a great voice that he has a very great way at going over the guests thoughts and he goes places you wouldn’t expect. Only gripe is I wish there was more of a in depth part where he goes into techniques and why and what they do. Overall greatest!

    Best Podcast on art
Chet Zar has curated some of the best artists out there. The podcast he created with Mike Corell discusses the trials and tribulations of working artists from the hand to mouth beginners to the blue chip gallery artists. I never liked the term Low brow art. Dark art seems more appropriate, and discussion about the art and its creators helps to expand the movement and remove the stigma associated with it.

    One of my favorite podcasts!
The Dark Art Society podcast has become one of my favorite podcasts over the years. It’s worth joining the group, as they are a cool group of really talented nice artists and fans of dark stuff. I enjoyed when it was Mike and Chet, and I like that it’s become an interview podcast with some of my favorite artists and ones whose work I get introduced to. Lots of really good technical stuff here for artists of all kinds!

    Best art podcast around!
Chet Zar manages to not just pull off an interview every week, he is able to find different artist each show. Conversations are fun, informative and often deep, but always great! Please do not forget to support the DAS podcast by joining their Patreon account, and help Chet keep it going!

Great Podcast. Just one techie nitpick
I love the show. Chet is awesome. I dig his art and the people he has on and the topics they cover are right up my alley of interest. Maybe tweak the audio compression/file size down a bit would be nice though!

    Fun and informative!
Interesting and fun to listen to, and full of advice for artists (whether or not they make dark art or are primarily painters). It’s my go-to podcast when grinding away on the never ending art hustle.

DASP continues to be a great & entertaining show!
Chet Zar & filmmaker Mike Correll continue to produce a fun & incredibly interesting podcast each week with the Dark Art Society. Each topic covered is related to the dark art movement, and guests of the show always have fascinating stories to share. The latest two episodes (Chet Zar & Hollywood; Parts 1 and 2) are very cool, especially if you are a fan of special effects and 90s horror movies. Highly recommended for TOOL, genre film and dark art fans. It's great

I have picked up a wealth of valuable information about art, business, creativity, and life in general. Mike and Chet also have some outstanding guests that are true masters of the craft of mysterious and dark art. If you like the feeling of sitting down with like minded friends in a casual enriching environment, this is the podcast for you.

    Excellent advise & storytelling!
I started listening on episode 14 and the very next night started over from episode 1 and have been binging on this podcast every night while I work in my own studio. Love the stories Mike & Chet tell of their experiences. This podcast is also a treasure trove of knowledge that any artist could benifit from. Seriously listen to it!

    Great Podcast
As an artist just starting out, this podcast rocks. It's super informative and really helpful. As a fan of Chet Zar, this podcast is fun. I always love getting an artist's perspective on things and it's just fun to listen to them talk. This podcast is great for artists looking for tips and it's fun as a fan just to listen to Chet speak about his experiences and though process.

    Looove it!
As a tattoo artist I became familiar with Chet's work while following Tommy Lee Wedtner's Instagram. I was immediately drawn in by the power of his paintings so I purchased and watched I Like To Paint Monsters. This podcast is a deeper dive into Chet's work and work ethic, Mike's projects, and how both see the world. Add to that some amazing information for how to make a living as an artist, I've learned a lot.

    A surreal Journey
As a sculptor always on the look out for quality listening material, as well as a long time obsessor over folklore, aberant states of consciousness, and the uncanny figures found therein, this Podcast has been a revelation. I've long been inspired by the artwork of Chet Zar, and it's a wonder to be gifted this extra dimension to the esoteric introspective lore of his work. It opens the discussion on the repressed human experience, and and the inhuman spectres that lurk at it's edge dancing between the neurological, the spiritual, or as yet undefined liminal spaces of our minds eye.

    Dark Art
I am enjoying the topics discussed on this podcast. Outside the "normal" realm of the typical art forums. This is almost a further study into Chet's and Mike's I Like to Paint Monsters documentary! It's inspiring to finally have an outlet for darker imagery and dark art! I eagerly await future episodes.
  • IZAKAZI!!!!!
    Unique and Smart.
The show sounds like what I wished was always a radio growing up. But to have it as an adult and now having experienced some of the topics expressed, makes it more personal. The dogs barking and Chet's lighter for some reason is really relaxing and makes it feel like your hanging with some old buds. Keep up the great work guys.

    Illuminating the Darkness
I'm loving this podcast. Chet and Mike are laying the foundation necessary to legitimize Dark Art as Fine Art. As an artist and someone who, since childhood, has been drawn to dark imagery, it has been difficult to find my place in the artworld. The Dark Art Society gives me hope that this genre of art can and will be taken seriously in the art world. I particularly enjoy hearing about Mike and Chet's experiences with the supernatural, dream states, out of body experiences, etc. I draw all of my inspiration for my artwork from my dreams and it is refreshing to know that I am not alone-- and also to hear a mentor-by-proxy and a hero of mine talking about the same things. Keep up the good work guys! Chet is one of my favorite artists and a huge inspiration. I can't wait to see what's in store for the Dark Art Society in the future!

An interesting podcast with amazing hosts
This podcast is full of amazing topics. Listening to the hosts tell their stories of lucid dreaming and shadow people and all these other topics is just so fun to listen to while I draw away and create monsters and creatures of my own.

    Great guys and series
Great series by some seriously creative people.
  • Deedledee90
    An honest perspective
As someone who grow up in a household that suppresses creativity, especially of anything that looked "ugly", this podcast is so refreshing to me as I navigate through my beliefs and creative practices. It's nice to get an insight on people whose lives are on similar paths. Mike is a natural storyteller and Chet is more well-spoken than he lets on. ;) The podcast creates an opportunity to learn about dark art, for those who are unfamiliar, and a safe community for those who may not have any resources to turn to.

The second fastest way to my heart.
At the moment I saw the post from Chet and Mike about their upcoming podcast I was glued to my refresh button. Eagerly I waited for the debut and I can honestly say they did not disappoint. Good clear sound. Down to earth. Not overly polished but not cobbled together. Just the right mix of conversation. I really felt like I was a fly on the wall while 2 close friends had a entertaining talk about things they like. I really can't wait for more.
