    Worth the investment!
I’m on day 177 of this podcast and always finish it encouraged. If you are reading the Bible for the first time, the 100th, or anything in between, you will love how much you learn from Tara-Leigh.

    Healing
For 3.5 years I was on staff at an extremely unhealthy and spiritually abusive church. I left disillusioned about God and my relationship with him and have found it incredibly difficult to sit under any sort of teaching right now. The Bible Recap is the only safe content to me at the moment and has changed my life. Learning about who God actually is and what his word means has been healing to deep wounds in my soul. Thank you TBR!!!!!!!

    Better Together
My daughter found this and we have been going through it together. She is 23 and I love hearing all that she is gleaming from going through the Word chronologically

    AMAZING!
The Bible Recap has helped me understand the confusing (and even the seemingly understandable) parts of the Bible! The plan is very well-made and gives you readings for each day, videos and resources for each book of the Bible and a daily podcast! The podcast has helped me want to read the Bible. I’ve been doing the plan for 115 days and I LOVE IT! Tara Leigh Cobble is a huge encouragement to listeners and has helped me see God in many different ways! For the first time in my life, I feel like I understand the Old Testament. I’ve recommended this podcast to everybody; it’s amazing and so helpful. Some books are difficult to read, but the Bible Recap walks you through it and makes it easier to understand :) if you’re hesitant about committing to this plan - just do it. Tara Leigh says that even if you miss a few days here and there, you’re still reading the Bible more than you normally would. I think you’ll be surprised at how much you enjoy it!!!!

    Changed my life
This podcast has honestly changed my life. Tara Leigh is incredible. She is so easy to listen to and her voice is so soothing. She is helping me to read through the Bible in a year and it is truly changing my walk with Christ. It is so true that God meets you in His word...I am eternally grateful. ♥️

    Disappointed
Be careful ! Beware! This is turning into another post-modern church teaching that is straying from the scripture being absolute Truth, transcendent and God is to be accepted on faith. And even worse countless people are being taught these inaccuracies, paying them in patreon and joining up in these d-group bible groups. Before I started this , I made sure that the D-group viewed the Bible as 100% Truth , without error. I first took exception to the biblegroup book overview with the characterization of the wisdom books . “they are just a collection of common wisdom and they aren’t promises . ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT . SO ITS NOT JUST ‘COMMON WISDOM’ .The podcast reinforced that . I think this Bible-group that does these overviews is walking on shaky ground and better be careful speaking for Gods intention for His Word. Because it comes dangerously close to lessening it’s equality/authority as part of the scripture. . But then came their view of Jonah. I take issue and disagree 100% with the Bible groups overview of the book of Jonah labeling it satire. There is NO indication that this is anything but a factual account . Jesus referred to it as fact not a story and certainly not satire. Then the podcast —I was saddened at Tara-Leigh’s statement about it that opens the door to dismissing it as a literary allegory.”wether you believe this to be allegory or as history”... If she believes the Bible to be Gods Word & 100% truth , then why didn’t she just teach it that way? I attempted to reach out humbly and kindly with my concern and was told by an assistant to chew the meat and spit out the bones. But That huge bone is stuck in my throat and I’m choking on it. . If one can’t take God at His Word and starts picking & choosing by what seems plausible , then what else will be dismissed? The Virgin birth? ? The resurrection? Jesus’ return? I wrote “if you say this didn’t happen , then you are calling God a liar” meaning the collective ‘you’ - that is anyone that doesn’t accept His Word and tries to change it - and she angrily responded that I said Tara-Leigh was calling God a liar . No , I never said that . The assistant never indicated my concern reached Tara Leigh . In fact , she was quite patronizing and I don’t think she ever understood what the central point of concern even was- sent me a copy of the episode transcript (which I never requested ) as if I didn’t understand what was said - and told me they usually charged for it -(I had listened 3 times and it’s there for all to hear ) . And, added that a team worked together on each podcast content material and there would be no correction. And I waited for the July summary . Tara-Leigh stated there was nothing that needed to be corrected!!! . God cannot lie . He asks us to accept His Word on faith. If one can’t accept the account of Jonah and take God at His Word on this, I’m extremely disappointed. God said it, I believe it. That’s all that faith demands. Though heaven and earth shall pass away, His Word still stands .

    Compelling
I had decided that the next time I was going to read through the Bible I wanted to do it chronologically. A friend was talking about this podcast on New Year’s Eve. I’m so glad I heard about it. I am enjoying reading through the Bible again and this podcast really helps me understand what is going on better. Tara-Leigh helps me understand the storyline and glean things out of the text that I would have missed. It is so helpful to get a fresh understanding on the unified story that the Bible tells.

    Loving this bible journey!!
It is day 215 for me and I look forward to each day! I had always been intimidated by the thought of reading the entire Bible because I am more of a “heart” knowledge person than “intellectual” in being able to comprehend and later explain facts and detail. The Bible Recap allows those that thrive on detail that info but for me I have simply loved seeing God at work in everything! Everyday He is with us and for us, always. I recommend this app, this experience to everyone!

Most amazing way to go through the Bible in a year
Factual, historical context to help make even the most seemingly dull passages seem relevant. I have been reading the Bible in a year for years and this is the most I have ever kept to a plan and not gotten bogged down and lost context. I would recommend this for advanced readers and novices alike.
  • Grmavicki
    Love this!
I am 68 years old, and have been reading the Bible through on a yearly plan since 1990. I started dgroup 4 years ago, and saw you had started a Bible reading plan. It has been very enjoyable and informative. You would think that after reading the Bible through for almost 30 times, I would know everything, but of course I don’t. TaraLee has some very interesting things to say, and Bible Recap is very good. I like it when she brings up things from the Holy Land and archeology. Thanks for all you do!

    God is faithful
In December 2019 I felt God calling me to read His word from beginning to end. I had read a lot of the Bible, but just skipping around with no direction really. I prayed for God to help me be committed to reading his word and had asked a friend If she had any recommendations on a year bible reading plan. A few days later, she shared the Bible recap with me. Today I clebrate day 215 of this amazing journey through God’s word. I look forward to hearing his word everyday and Tara Leigh’s recap. Her recaps are like little nuggets of wisdom and insight that I would never “get” on my own. I am so thankful for this bible app. It has blessed me and increased my relationship with Christ. Thank you Tara-Leigh and all those working with her on this podcast! You are such a blessing! Thank you for being God’s hands and feet to the nations by spreading the good news! 💗💗💗

    So understandable
Tara Leigh Coble does an amazing helping me understand the Scripture! She points out so many things I miss. She often links some other really good articles in the show notes to expand my knowledge! I really look forward to her podcast every day as she helps me read and study God’s word!

    Grateful
I’ve been a Christian for a long long time. I’ve always felt a bit of a hypocrite because I’ve never read the whole bible through. Sure, I do devotionals and read scripture while listening to messages and such, but this podcast has truly changed my life. I look forward to it every single day! Thank you, Tera-Leigh, for your obedience and fun personality! I can truly say my relationship with Christ and my understanding of His word has grown leaps and bounds! Thank you God and thank you Bible Recap!

can’t thank you enough for this amazing resource!

    Awesome!
The commentary after each reading is exceptional. Tara helps the readers pull back from the weeds as she connects the dots of the various events to show the thread of God’s sovereignty through the entire Bible. It is masterfully done and I highly recommend this podcast as your bible reading companion.

    LOVE
I really like this app. The podcast isn’t very long but it states interesting things for each book. I also love the chronological order of the study of the Bible. It’s interesting.

    Amazing!
I just started from season 1 and i’m only on episode 2 loving it! I’ve never read through the bible completely. i did get a far way and realized i had no idea what i’ve been reading. This podcast is helping me start over and understand it completely. I do wish I could read from start to back before I do chronological, but it’s still amazing and super helpful! it’s things like this that encourage people! I also completely agree with reading the bible in the morning to start my day. I feel I am a much better person and make better decisions knowing I read scripture that morning.
  • Ruthlessann
    Renewed/ refreshed and living
I’ve read and studied different parts of the Bible for 20 years now! I’m enjoying reading the Word of God and then listening to Tara explain things that I’ve seem to skipped over or forgotten!!! It’s brought the Word of God Alive to me on my daily basis and made it fresh!!! My desire it to keep connecting all the Word of God!!! There’s so many awesome truths!!!
  • Bujib
    So complicated
It is not easy for someone like me trying to jump in at day 208. It plays the episodes from newest to oldest instead of oldest to newest so it’s almost impossible to start at the beginning and just keep letting it play. I want to listen so bad but it’s so difficult to use if you’re playing catch up!
  • Oh mind
    Inspiring!
Thank you so much for this. It’s keep me going on the journey of life. God bless you

So thankful to have this podcast to listen to after I read. Allows me to not only comprehend better, but apply it to big picture, and to Jesus! Perfect for moms like me with small ones tugging at your attention. Quick, concise, and so engaging

    New life!
This study has brought new life to my study of scripture this summer! As a momma who is always being pulled lots of ways, studying scripture is HARD! But TLC helps to pull out things I missed and slow down my study! Thank you Bible Recap!!!

    TBR
I look forward to hearing this podcast everyday. TLC and the entire crew are awesome! I am so blessed to have been invited by a friend to join her and many others to do TBR reading plan on the You Version Bible App. I am now going through the Bible twice this year. Thank you Tara-Leigh and crew for all you do! Love you guys!! He is where the joy is!! 😁🥰😁🥰

First Time Connecting with the Old Testament
This podcast is absolutely amazing. So short, so educational, so engaging. TLC is frank and humble and holds a contagiously high view of scripture. Thank you Bible Recap people for truly changing one believer’s walk with God and His word for the better!

    Changed my Bible-Reading Life
I never read the Bible consistently in my life, even as I was heavily involved in church, small groups, etc. I began trying to read the Bible more consistently after a difficult time in my life recently. My wife has been following the Bible Recap plan and listening to the podcast so I tried it out. It has helped me stay consistent in the Word if God and I have already realized how little of the story of scripture that I actually know. I’m only in Numbers so far but I’ve learned so much through reading the Word. I’m very thankful for the reading plan and the podcast.

best tour guide through the Bible
I have really appreciated the Bible Recap and TLC for the work and revision they put into each episode. I have truly loved walking through scripture contextually each day with their guidance. I am learning to seek God in the reality of each story of the Bible. Thank you for everything!

A changed heart and new zeal for Christ!
I am exactly halfway through The Bible Recap’s reading plan, and I cannot give enough praise to TLC and her team. I’m 36 years old and have never read through the Bible - ever! I started my journey the beginning of February never knowing what 2020 would hold for us. While I see and witness fear of the unknown due to COVID-19, political unrest, threats to defund the police, racism, etc. I have felt grounded in my faith. My heart is changing because I am finally learning who MY God is. I encourage anyone who has the slightest interest to read the Bible, or even someone who has done it several times before, to embark on this journey with TLC. It’s rich and deeply rewarding. He IS where the joy is!

    Transforming my Bible reading!
When a friend first recommended Bible recap to me, I wasn’t so sure. It sounded like a lot... but then I figured I’d give it a try, and haven’t looked back since. The Bible reading plan is fantastic, and Tara’s concise, clear, informative daily recaps help me understand passages of scripture that used to feel so inaccessible to me. She is such a good Bible teacher and I’m thankful to be learning from her and with her through this journey! And I always look forward to the daily reminder that God is where the joy is.

Makes me look forward to reading my Bible everyday
I just found this podcast and I am so glad I did. I just read Job 21-23 today and listened to the podcast, which was actually recorded back in January and it is so applicable to what is going on right now in our world. So much encouragement in Tara Leigh’s recap.

    So helpful!
I can’t remember how I ran across this podcast but am so glad I did! It helps me understand more deeply what I’ve just read in the Bible. It also keeps me accountable and on track. I love the God shots at the end! Brings a new perspective and helps me become more appreciative and know God in a deeper level. Thank you!

5 stars for Jesus and TLC!
This podcast has changed my life. Never before have I read the whole bible and with the help of this podcast I am now >200 days spending time in the word! Reading the bible chronologically has helped me understand the bigger picture of Jesus. I love finally getting to put the puzzles pieces of random verses i know and church sermons together and gaining a better understanding of God. I genuinely WANT to read the Bible and i feel so blessed to have this podcast to help guide me on my journey. Thanks TLC. You rock and God truly is where the joy is.

    So grateful for these lessons
Love having The Bible Recap as a resource to keep me plugged into God’s Word each day. Tara Leigh helps me understand and find Christ in each day’s reading.
  • anteannyn
    Finally “reading” the entire Bible!
I have tried for years to read through the Bible. Now that I have found this podcast, I’m using it in conjunction with the Bible App and the Bible Recap Plan and I’ve made it over two months so far and I’m getting more and more interested in continuing rather than feeling burned out. I enjoy the insight and additional info that’s hard to find without reading through lots of commentaries. I also enjoy Tara-Leigh’s humble but confident approach. I’m very glad I found this. It is definitely improving my life! (I’ve never said that about any other podcast. Ever.)

This podcast helped me read the whole Bible!
The Bible Recap helped me read trough the whole bible for the first time ever, and now I’m doing it again! I’ve been in the Word >550 days in a row because TBR helps me understand what I’m reading. Give it a try!

    67 days in!
The Bible Recap is such a blessing. After watching a sermon from Pastor Michael Todd that mentioned reading the manual, Bible, i was convicted. I’ve read many passages but never the full story. Just from browsing through Christian podcasts, i came across this podcast. I listened to each prep episode and reading the Bible became less intimidating. Tara Leigh Cobble is my best friend and mento in my head. She has helped me stick to my goal and see Jesus specifically throughout the Old Testament. I can’t wait to make it through the whole book so i can honor God, be proud of myself, and have my homegirl Tara proud of me too!

Best way to start your day
God's gifting on TLC's teaching and The Bible Recap team is being used by The Lord to answer prayers for a joyful relationship with my Savior, knowing him....not just about him and not religion....but knowing him is the best gift of all. Thank you will never be a sufficient statement for all of the truth presented in this podcast. The Lord has used this podcast to open the eyes of this 38 year old who spent much of life under the weight of a religious perfectionism system without really knowing the Bible. Now I can't get enough of scripture and I am learning more and more, ever day, that he's where the Joy is!

    There are not enough stars!
This podcast has changed my life! I had read the Bible before, but never understood it to the extent I do after reading it chronologically with Tara-Leigh’s excellent explanations. I still have so much to learn, but The Bible Recap helped my Bible understanding grow 100%. I highly recommend it!
  • maes_day
    Simply life changing
Scripture is so dense and important, but sometimes it can be so difficult to understand. The Bible Recap podcast does an amazing job of breaking down each days reading and reminding you to always be looking for God. If I could give it 10 stars I would!
  • KatherineChicago
    Big picture
While I’ve studied it he Bible most of my life, I’ve never read it from start to finish. When 2020 started, I decided this would be the year. (Who knee I’d need it so much this year?!) What I’ve appreciated is that when my studies and church services stopped because of COVID, this never did. Thank you Tara-Leigh for your hard work when I really needed it and helping me see the full, big picture of the gospel story.

    Life changing

    So helpful!
I’ve been following the Bible Recap chronological plan and having this accompanying podcast is amazing. I’ve tried and failed reading the Bible through many times, and think this will be the year I do it. My recommendation is don’t wait until January 1!! It’s very easy to start with episode 1 regardless of when in the calendar year you start!

    Growth
Bible Recap has helped me growth in my relationship with the Lord and see God’s Word as a whole narrative. It’s been such a bless and is worth every minute each day! Thanks you, Bible Recap staff!
