vcfdgubvghnvcfx222233334ReviewI love this podcast. One thing Warren Jeffs and that faction along with Chad dumbbell does not in anyway represent The LDS church. Jeffs family has never been a part of the church and dumbbell completely distorted the beliefs for Sex and murder

AmontezxoLOVE THIS PODCAST, LOVE ANNIE!Let me start off by saying that I’m new to this podcast, but I’m always on the hunt for a new true crime podcast! I was a huge fan of “serial” and when I saw this.. I thought maybe it was connected somehow, so I decided to give it a listen. I always start with the first episode and work my way through them in order. I really love Annie’s voice and the way she’s able to keep my attention. It’s obvious she does a lot of research for every episode. Definitely started following and even recommended her podcast to my dad! Love it!!

skjxksndkdksndjHeadline updatesI love your podcast ! As a truck driver I listen to a lot of content and you’re on the top of my pods. I like how you’re doing the headline updates, some of them are having to be longer and deeper then others because of the severity or details wether be lots of new deets or lack of deets just some Require more time then others. I think your updates are giving specific cases the attention they need especially if a lot happened between the original pod and the update. Like a mini dive so to speak. Some cases just need a little bigger update then others and I greatly appreciate this, gives me something new to look forward to in Thursday. Side note, every single day here in Washington state I go under a bridge that the road is called “Delphi” and it’s just a daily reminder of those precious girls, now this update has my head reeling! Thank you for all you do ❤️

Truecrime ChristieMy favoriteThis weeks update including Kinsleigh Welty has me sobbing. I am 46 and childless because I couldn’t have children. I would have taken her in a heartbeat. But these monsters locked her in a closet and starved her to death. Can you just imagine how awful it was for her to have to sit 24 hrs a day at 5 yrs old in a dark closet. I hope those people pay with their worthless lives.

kate.caljaneLOVE this podcastI love true crime. BUT so does everyone - and now this podcast genre is so over saturated you need to weed thru the ones that are just quick and superficial. This woman does tremendous research, gives the story the time it needs, goes deep and provides the amount of detail I want in a true crime pod.

KrisL80Thursday Episodes04/18/24- You mentioned on today’s episode that some people complained about the title of Thursday episodes bugging them because they have to listen to several other case updates before getting to the one they really want to hear about. Not sure if anyone else has suggested this, yet, or not, but in some other podcasts I listen to that are longer they actually put timestamps in the episode notes for each topic change! So that way, the listener knows if they fast forward to 10 minutes in they will hear the part they are interested in. Now, on the flip side, ideally you want the listener to stick around for the whole episode, but having them stay for part would be better than them not listening at all, IMO. Just a thought! Love the show!

Casey KelsonLove Annie!Far too much reiteration and referencing to things, taking away from what you’re going to cover. Five mins of ads, to a a layout to the coming episode.. to then referencing five other episodes, this and that!! Too much extra fluff! Making it seem like you’re trying for a certain length time stamp!
-
HeatherPotFast paced… thorough… and just awesome! The highlight episodes are my favorite! Keep doing what your doing… you could maybe put the time stamp in the show notes for the different topics to please the complainers. But this is my new favorite show and I wouldn’t change a thing! Great job… A++++++++

funnysun14The bestI commute just under and hour the stories the in depth information is very interesting. Radio voice smith and relaxing before and after work

LaRoseBellaOld & new cases galoreI really like listening to this podcast for both the individual cases in detail and the headline update episodes. I do think the updates could be named as such so we can distinguish between the two types of episodes, that would be helpful. The info & research are great, but honestly the host’s voice sounds like an annoying teenager to me, even though I know she’s not. That’s my personal opinion, I’m not throwing shade, I don’t mean it as an insult, that’s just how my ears hear her. Respect & love to AE and her team, y’all are doing great!

What was a fanLove ItMy favorite to listen to on my commute. Funny , informative, great variety of topics and real cases. Truly your “ true crime bff”. Amy

Zumbagirl73I can’t believe I just came across your podcast!Hello! I have been listening to MANY true crime podcasts for the past few years and just now came across yours. I can’t stop listening. You are able to break down these cases into a show that is easy to understand. I love your honesty and ability to add your own insight about these monsters. I am a new fan girl!!! -Wendy B. Marcee K❤️❤️My husband got me listening to this podcast, and I am so invested now! The stories, evidence, and and the details give me literal chills (good ones). I was never much of a listener to crime stories as I preferred to watch them, but I will never unfollow or stop listening to this. It is my new addiction 😂 thank you bestie, you really are amazing at and for this

Redvelvet88Show is decent but extra audio is notThe heavy reliance on audio from court proceedings or interviews/interrogations doesn’t transfer well in podcast form. I find myself losing interest because most of the time the audio quality isn’t great. The show itself is interesting but lately I’ve been turning it off because the supplementary audio is so long and drawn out.

**k8e1019**Ugh.I am shocked this show has such high reviews. As a true crime fan, I was interested in this show when I came across it, as it was new to me and the descriptions of the cases covered seemed to indicate that the host was including lesser known cases. Upon listening, I felt as though the host thinks her listeners are all elementary aged kids. I understand the format is meant to be conversational, but I presumed that meant a conversation among reasonably intelligent adults. In the first episode I listened to, the host used the same word to describe the crime about 30 times. In another episode (I gave her a shot and tried a different one), she dumbs down the presentation of a horrific crime and the presentation is surface level, at best. Essentially, this feels like listening to the cliffs notes of the cliffs notes about a bad book. There are a lot of great true crime podcasts out there. This one is a pass.

Betty bigriggerExciting.I love it!! She has a radio voice for sure and covers exciting and steamy stories!
-
jcoron95I can’t listen to you podcast, it says unavailable? How come I can’t watch it. And all the ads are the same as the other YouTubers, same line and same vibe. Don’t believe you use any of that
-
G-Dawgg_Such a great podcast!!I love true crime and I love this podcast! Such an easy listen and such great details. 🙌🏼

JameeeShe’s got the teaI clicked on this podcast because I was trying to find something new to listen to and am so happy I did. Annie is entertaining with how she talks but she really does a deep dive into each case. I really love this podcast and I love how she makes sure to tell people’s stories. She keeps you up to date on ongoing cases and gives you all the tea. Feel like we’re sitting on the couch together chatting. She’s the best.
-
UserUserUserUser4Pretty good, but a bit redundant and weird audioHer content is pretty good, but I’m not sure that we need 50 episodes about Ruby Franke. She does a ton of mini episodes about a case and then what feels like five deep dive episodes on the case which don’t really bring much new info. As far as the audio goes, many of these episodes are the audio from YT vids. The editing for YT is annoying in podcast form (I’m sure it’s annoying for YT too, but as a pod listener the audio drops for editing are annoying when you aren’t used to it). And when playing audio clips from other sources (ie; jailhouse calls) having it switch to just one side is disorienting when listening on earphones. I end up skipping these entire bits, which sometimes are very long and not recapped by the host, so I’m missing out on content. But overall this has become a regular in my rotation and the pros outweigh the cons enough for me to keep listening.

guz018Just found the show and it’s one of my new faves!!!!Really enjoy this show now that I found it. Annie is a great storyteller and gets right to the point. She doesn’t need all the extra banter with another person when telling stories so it’s not full of extra worthless nonsense that just drags out other podcasts. Plus…No political garbage that other shows push on you. One of my first pods I put on every time there are new ones.
-
Kyesha_SalzDeep dive into the Florida School for BoysStill would love to hear this. I enjoy your podcast! I listen to it every work day. I appreciate how you represent the victim and tell your opinion. The deep dives are my favorite. Because all docs and other shows don’t get the deets you do.
-
susanconnornyDone, I’m outNormally a huge fan of this show. There are horrible details, but…she always erred on the side of not going too far into things so it never felt like the victim was being victimized all over again. Not in the case of the most recent episode about 17-year-old Junko Furuta. I am done with this show. Unsubscribing, done. I do not see why this case needed to be trotted out. It’s just…even for this true crime lover…not a place I want to go, and not a place I feel right listening to. It felt truly like she was being victimized all over again.

fjctgidujLove Annie!I’ve been here since 2021 and she just keeps getting better! Detailed and a great storyteller!
-
Eunice05Loved itI love the fact that she actually takes the time to do the research and presents facts videos everything! She goes in full detail
-
SeñorTacozGreat DetailsNo banter. Just facts and details. Thank you so much for a great pod.
-
frejasolveigLove the podcast, could use a few tweaksI really really enjoy this podcast. Annie is very articulate and a good researcher and storyteller. I think the editing/review could use just a little work and be more thorough - cutting out more of random background sounds, breathing, and mouth noises where possible. One episode even still had some outtakes at the end and silence that wasn’t edited out. That would bring the podcast to 5 stars for me! But overall- love it!
-
Caralorine24Great podcastLove the detail you provide. As a note Junko’s muderers made an adult decision and deserve the harshest punishment possible. They should never get the option of any life.
-
Rsemt64The best true crime bestie! ❤️🖤❤️5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I listen to a lot of podcasts. But you are hands down the best true crime bestie! Thanks for giving me good background noise while I’m working at my shop. 🖤❤️🖤

MeagonnneI’m pickyWhen it comes to podcasts I’m very picky. I get annoyed and bored easily. I have very few that I actually enjoy and look forward to. This is one of them. Her voice, her knowledge, and the way she keeps my interest is perfect.
-
yodarulesGood show, but maybe cool it with name callingI enjoy the show but calling these people names doesn’t need to be done. We all can’t stand these killers. :)
-
DaybaelolKeep updates seperateWas coming to listen to the Kansas moms update but seen it was bundled with 2 other stories and immediately turned me off of it. Lol. I don’t wanna have to fish through an episode to get the info I’m looking for.
-
Nickybear448New listener!I’ve been trying to catch up and listen to all the previous episodes for about 2 months now. It can be hard to start in the middle or listen out of order because she refers to so many previous cases. Whether it’s relating someone to another case or a previous episode. If it’s another episode, she does a good job linking it in the show notes. But if it’s just another case it can get confusing trying to remember what happened in the other case if you’re not familiar with it. Hoping that catching up on all the previous episodes will help out!
-
SonleeGreat true crime pod!Just stumbled upon Annie and she’s a great story teller. Binging!!

MiaWa61Good showI enjoy the show and love the deep dives into the stories. I wish the podcaster didn’t make 90% of her statements sound like questions LOL.
-
Sylvie_24New obsessionVery detailed on each story! I’ve never felt so caught up on what’s happening until this show. Look forward to each episode
-
B RueAddicted to your show!Breaking news this morning in Milwaukee, WI. Maxwell Anderson charged with killing, dismembering 19-year-old Sade Carleena Robinson. Curious to see if you’d cover this story.

MomofmayAmazing!I absolutely love listening to Annie Elise! This quickly became my favorite podcast! She’s straight forward and to the point! She puts her whole heart into each story and is an advocate for those who no longer have a voice. Look no further because this is the best true crime podcast out there!
-
CAH PatientAbsolutely love this show!Hi Annie, I absolutely love your show! This is such a great podcast and the amount of content shared is superb! I only have one suggestion - I really enjoy when you bring in the trial perspective into the deep dives. I really enjoy hearing about the trial, if the case is already concluded, and then providing updates on appeals and other stuff of that nature. I’ve only been a listener for about 4 weeks and I’m already almost through all of your episodes. I am determined to be fully caught up by the summer. Keep up the great work. All the best, Jordan

-
blondieroxxThe best crime podcast available - and I’ve listened to them all!I really love Annie’s deep dives into cases: sparing no details, yet giving the victims the dignity and attention they deserve. I even find myself sometimes laughing when she adds her two cents - her personality and passion come through each and every episode. I now always look forward to Monday’s and Thursday’s!
-
fjdtjvtexLove!Plenty of episodes to binge mall in one place! Big fan!
