    Fantastic Show!
This show is great! The hosts are extremely knowledgeable on Start Trek and StarTrek literature. The accessibility to the writers is what really makes the show.

    Books and Comics Positivity
This is a great show for discussion, interviews, news, and commentary about Star Trek books and comics. The hosts, while always giving their actual takes on the material, try to find the goodness in whatever they review and do not take pleasure in bashing anything. There is a good sense of humor present in the episodes, too.

Good TOS and TNG books reviews.
This is a solid podcast with two guys the clearly like Trek and are enjoyable to listen too. My only main issue is they are heavily focused on ToS and TNG books/content. They hardly ever touch on other series like Voyager and DS9. Would be nice if they covered Trek books more broadly.

    Finally
I’ve been reading Trek books most of my life and I love that there’s finally a dedicated podcast that looks at both the new and older books from Trek’s history. They have a great format and sometimes we are lucky enough to hear from the authors themselves as they dive into their influences and reasons some of their stories go in the directions that they do. Check them out!

    A Podcast For My People
After so long in the wilderness of being the only person I’ve ever met who was a die-hard fan (or a fan at all!) of the Star Trek novels, finding this podcast was a breath of fresh air and a balm to (what little remains of) my soul. Thank you for showing me I’m not alone, and also thank you for taking the books seriously, but not too seriously that you cannot identify and call out the occasional stinker.

    5 out of 5
I would rate this podcast 5 out of 5 podcast greenrooms complete with a Dayton Ward and a wet bar. I absolutely love the author interviews, the honest reviews, and even the touches on the comics, which I don’t read. If you love Star Trek books, why wouldn’t you listen to this podcast?! I’ve been reading Trek Lit since I was a kid. My first was “Perchance to Dream,” TNG #19 by Howard Weinstein. Not one likely to be reviewed on this podcast, which is probably fine given all the amazing new Trek Lit coming out these day. Keep up the great work! LLARO

    Insightful and delightful
One of the best podcast offered on Trek.Fm without a doubt, lots of source material to work with and the host are great.

    I love this podcast
Growing up, I never had anyone to talk about Star Trek books with. I wish there had been a podcast like this. Or you know, podcasts at all.

Good stuff for Trek book lovers
Covers all the latest stuff. Would love to have them review some older books.

    Love the Reviews
I love your takes on the books. The novels have been with me for most of my life. I would read the books while I was in transit from the States to my deployments. The most recent episode (Hogwarts Academy) helped me remember one such book. I thoroughly enjoyed that book and wished Bill and the Reeves-Stephens' were able to continue the stories. I also enjoy the news and comic reviews.

    Great podcast
I’ve been reading Star Trek books since I was a little kid and loved them but never really had anyone to talk about them with, even with my closest Trekkie friends. And honestly, some of my favorite Trek stories are from the book-verse. So this podcast is an absolute joy, to finally have deep and engaging discussions on a sadly under appreciated side of the Trek world. The hosts are fun, engaging and give well thought out analysis of the books. Even episodes about books I hadn’t read were interesting and they clearly warn about spoilers if that bothers you. If you love the Trek books, or just want to hear more about stories you may not have heard from the wonderful world of Star Trek, this podcast is well worth your while.

Great Show, Great Work LT Team
Hey guys, I love your podcast, your enthusiasm, and your interaction with the fans. I don't make a lot of time in my schedule to read but I love hearing about the books and I love the guests you have on the show. Always enjoy the comics segment. A great podcast for new Trek readers
Until a couple of months ago, I had never read a Star Trek novel or comic in my life. After listening to the hosts' enthusiastic description of their latest reads, I have since read excellent books by Dayton Ward and Christopher L. Bennett, and even some of the comics! What was I waiting for all this time??? Don't be like me. Download this podcast and find out what you've been missing out on. These guys won't steer you wrong. P.S. I'm in the middle of "Federation" by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, and it's a "corker", too!

Fantastic Trek lit discussions and interviews!
I love Star Trek books and comics (I've read almost nothing else for the last few years) and this podcast is fantastic! Great discussions and wonderful interviews with Trek authors. I can't wait to hear each week's episode.

Awesome podcast for Star Trek fans!
I have been a Star Trek fan for ages. However, I have never been too fond of reading for pleasure. After listening to a few episodes of Literary Trek, the wonderful discussions got me interested in the novels. Being a Deep Space Nine fan, I started with the Mission Gamma series, then the Terok Nor series and now I have just started on A Stitch in Time. I am looking forward to reading more Star Trek novels and new episodes of LIterary Trek!

Books, comics, and all literary things Star Trek
These guys are amazing with the amount of Star Trek lit they read and the in depth knowledge they provide on the various Star Trek Books & Comics. But don't get me wrong they provide honest reviews and let you know when the books have fixed some of the problems in the 'canon' universe. Yay!

    The Adventure Continues...
Matt and Dan host an outstanding show. These hosts review books and comic books across all the Trek franchises and eras. The recall from both hosts is incredible. I used to have a photographic memory but as I get older there seems to be less film in the camera. Some of their discussions are from books that could have been read years ago and they’re able to describe it as if it was read within the hour. I haven’t personally read a novel in years but in listening to this podcast; it provides an update on how the adventures have evolved since each of the series has ended. The interviews with the authors are thorough and entertaining. If you enjoy comparing your interpretations of novels or the comic books you’ve read or interested in learning what is happening in the Star Trek universe…this is the podcast of choice.

Thanks for opening up the world of Star Trek novels and taking us on adventures we could never have seen on screen. Keep up the great work!

    Can't Live Without my TrekFM
I've been listening to some of TrekFM's podcasts since early last year. I listen to them while I'm driving on my way to and from school. I find myself so engrossed in the conversation, and I wish I was there! The people who work on this podcast are real Trekkies/Trekkers too, making the conversation all that more interesting because of their knowledge of Trek lore.

Great review of books and more
The host do a great job of reviewing books , and comics of Star Trek. They also interview the authors. Give a listen if you like to read.

Great for readers and those who are behind
I don't get to read as much Star Trek as I would like, so it is really nice to have people who can keep me informed about what is happening in that world. A lot of their discussions about books I haven't read has encouraged me to make the time to squeeze those books into my schedule.

    Eat any good books lately?
Literary Treks can be a good way to decide which Trek book to read next. Thanks to them I was made aware of the E-book that wrapped up the Vanguard series.
  • wldkt1
    Love my Trek books
This show has great interviews with the authors of Trek fiction and 'non-fiction.' It also keeps me up to date with what's going on in the literary Trek world.

The Glue That Holds the Trek Universe Together
Whenever Star Trek isn't in production on TV or in movies, it is the comics and novels and fanfic and other writing that keeps it alive. And even when Trek is being produced, the books add depth and explore issues and situations which can't be done in the visual medium. The books also help tie all the different eras and characters together and really make Trek a full universe. It is only fitting that such content should finally have its own dedicated podcast. These sometimes lengthy discussions fly right by, just like time flies when reading the best Trek books. Trek.fm is awesome and I hope they're around for years to come.

    Star Text
I was referred to this podcast by prolific Star Trek author Dayton Ward, and it's quickly become one of my favorites. Trek novels, comics, and other printed matter aren't given their due nearly enough, so an entire show devoted to them was a long time coming. Christopher and Matthew, the one-two-punch hosting team responsible for the Orb and other Trek.fm shows, do an excellent job examining the various entries in the greater Trek fictional universe. So what if it's not canon? Good stories are good stories, and our hosts go in-depth about why they work so well in the Trek mythos. The same goes for bad stories, too, and they don't pull any punches in that area, either. Here's to plenty more great literary treks on Literary Treks!

Great Podcast, both for literary and for Star Trek
I always look forward to new podcasts from Trek.fm, but I especially love listening to Literary Treks. I am a huge fan of the Star Trek books. I read most books as soon as they're available for download so I'm always up on current stories, but it's great to hear the interviews with the writers and often very insightful. Hearing details on the story and adding a new layer. I would love to hear some addition podcasts one older books. Loved to two on Avatar, since that is, hands down, one of my favorite stories. This podcast comes highly recommended!

    Viper, Shadow...
Great show! Enjoyed listening to the interview with James Swallow. Very insightful and entertaining. I love reading Star Trek novels... I've been collecting ST books for 23 yrs! I have over 500 on my shelves and still going... Thank you for having my fave authors on your podcasts; it's nice to put a voice to the words they write, and-I'm enjoying the chance to hear their 'myriad' stories... Keep up the good work, guys... Eric Gator1 Cone @Chris... Your SEC brother... Gooo Gators!!

A prize for any Trek lit fan!
I've been waiting for a podcast like this for a long time. I love Star Trek novels as much as I love the shows and movies, and there isn't a whole lot of love for the "expanded universe" in podcast land...until now. Matt and Chris know their stuff and are excellent hosts. They catch you up on book/comics news, offer their own commentary, and interview Star Trek authors. As of this writing, they have only released a few shows, but they are off to a flying start!
  • ohtheprofanity
If you like Trek literature, you'll love this Podcast
This podcast has it all: News, fun banter, and interviews with the Trek novelists themselves. The show is young show at the time I'm writing this review, but it's already a shining star in the Trek podcasting world. I'm hungry for more, and I know that Matt and Chris will continue serving the good stuff. :)
