A couple of years ago I decided to reconnect with Virginia Tech sports. I was lost and alone, trying to climb that mountain by myself when lo and behold, Pete and Robbie came from out of the fog to be my sherpas. I’ve been following them ever since. Keep it going boys. This is home. Go Hokies.

*edited for the 2023 season* Pete and Robbie still lead the original VT sports podcast. They give insightful, passionate, and knowledgeable takes on all things VT sports. I found them in 2016, and even now when there’s a new show it’s the first listen in my feed. Lots of VT content out there, these dudes are the best listen around.

Would’ve been 5 stars but I can’t stand hearing Robbie review non-alcoholic beers.. no one likes non-alcoholic beers and I promise you none of us are buying them. Cheers fellas!

Pete and Robbie keep me updated on all things Hokie football and beer. They set realistic expectations, which really helps with the seasonal depression.

With so many VT podcasts on the market nowadays (which is amazing by the way), Pete and Robbie have been keeping it real since 2015. There’s something about the intro that signals it’s football season and listening to the guys express their praise or their frustrations with the program never gets old. From living high in 2016 to losing to Liberty, you’ll get the whole Hokie experience. There’s no bias here. They speak the truth and are die-hard Hokies that want to see the program back at the top again. If you want to get excited for a game with detailed breakdowns and statistics of both sides or wallow in defeat (by jet sweep) with some company, Two Deep has you covered. Their coverage of the program is top notch and will keep you in line with what’s going on with the program (even though finding a Virginia Tech press conference is impossible). They also have an active social media presence (people read Pete’s tweets) that provides statistics that you didn’t know that you needed to know. Overall, if you only have time to listen to one VT podcast a week, Two Deep is the answer. Also, you’ll learn that non-alcoholic beer doesn’t taste awful sometimes. Still up for debate. Go Hokies

These guys are amazing. They do their research and it shows. They help me get hyped for VT sports every year. The only negatives are that the podcasts are quite long and I honestly fast forward through all the beer breaks. But even with that, this is still a 5 star podcast and I love listening to every episode.

Despite the growing number of podcasts about VT sports, this one is the best. Personable, reliable, and they do a job of answering fan questions.

I’ve been listening to Robbie and Pete for three seasons now and can’t watch a Hokie football game without first listening these days. They get me pumped to watch each week because it’s way more fun to listen to two Hokie fans talk about our football team as opposed to analysts who really aren’t invested. I love the advanced stats they use as well as watching their tweets during the games. Best Hokie football podcast in my opinion by far. Also any show that starts off with hosts shooting Wild Turkey has to be awesome right?

Great content. They give way more of a deep dive than solid verbal/cover 3 and really explore all the player groups and the program in detail while making it fun. Love the ACC focus. Go Hokies!

Being a Hokie fan in Cincinnati, it is hard to find a resource that’s both enjoyable and filled with great perspective on the program. I have been listening for two seasons now and have yet to be disappointed. They are honest and don’t let their love for the Hokies blind them from reality of situations. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the seasons to come. Expect a Cincinnati beer package this coming season! Cheers!!

I’ve been listening to the podcast since 2017 and love the consistency and perspective the guys give week after week. It is the best podcast regarding Hokie football!

I love listening to this podcast. Been a Hokies fan my whole life and I love to listen to a realistic podcast that focuses on both the strength and weaknesses of the VT sports family.

These guys deliver and their view of the program is top notch. By no means are they homers and their banter is comedic at times. Given the recent roller coaster of a season Tech has had, they support their arguments solidly and make my miserable commute in the morning quite pleasant.

Much better than other Hokie podcasts. They seem to keep it real.

First off, I sincerely apologize if I hurt you with my comments last week, I was just trying to communicate my displeasure with your take and Twitter can sometimes mask the tone of a conversation. I meant to call your take hacky not that you were actually hacks. For the record though you do publish this podcast which makes it journalism. Whether you get paid or not is irrelevant. If you don’t want people to disagree with you, it’s probably best if you don’t put yourself out there. Second, classy move telling my to F&$% off though. The fact that you had over a week to think about it and you still felt the need to include that really tells me a lot about what kind of guy you are.

As a die-hard Tech fan I really appreciate what you guys do. Even when it’s been such a tough year it’s still great to get the latest Hokie news whether it’s about football or something else. Keep up the good work. Go Hokies!

This is a great podcast. I love the way you mix the football with beer recommendations. The beers mentioned range from PBR to stuff I've never heard of. It's also great when you have on the guys from The Key Play.
