Brazil Unfiltered

9

Brazil is going through challenging times. There’s never been a more important moment to understand Brazil’s politics, society, and culture. To go beyond the headlines, and to ask questions that aren’t easy to answer. 'Brazil Unfiltered,' does just that. This podcast is hosted by James N. Green, Professor of Brazilian History and Culture at Brown University and the National Co-Coordinator of the U.S. Network for Democracy in Brazil.

Brazil Unfiltered is part of the Democracy Observatory, supported by the Washington Brazil Office. The podcast is edited and produced by Camilo Rocha in São Paulo.

    Leftist, progressive slant.
I love Brasil and the people and culture. I listen to various podcasts about Brasil weekly. However the commentators speaking about the USA election are clearly Biden and now Harris supporters. You’d think the foolish commentator’s would see how well socialism has failed. Yet they push the progressive agenda and pretty much slam Trump. I can’t stand Trump but he was a friend to Brasil and it’s people. Don’t be foolish and think only a few people in the USA are Trump voters and supporters. We are in the MILLIONS. I love your country. Most could care less. We will still have a say where our money goes to and who our country considers friends. Not smart having a few million dislike Brasil and its government because you chose to embrace woke progressive and socialist ways. Would be smart for you to be unbiased as both parties would be good for Brasil but take one side. You’ll piss us off.

    Informative but biased
I enjoyed listening and will listen again but “unfiltered” is not a good title. It’s highly biased to the left and while informative, it’s not intellectually honest. The guests are all elitist who have agendas. I said I enjoyed because I could filter out the bias etc and still learn something about Brazilian politics.

    Great start
Good international perspective linking the events in Brazil to the government politics and grassroots political movements in the U.S.
