So much potential but not for me

This podcast has a lot of really informative guests and I have learned a great deal. However, I wish the host didn’t sound so robotic. There’s no personality or energy when discussing these topics and interacting with the guests. It’s like listening to a robot moderate a fireside chat which makes it hard for me to stay interested. This is just my personal opinion.

Can’t understand what Milton is saying

Sorry guys…Milton is obviously brilliant, but I couldn’t listening to him after 10 minutes. He speech isn’t clear and rambles on too fast. Difficult for you to ask follow up questions.

Was referred to this show by The TIP .

I had a hard time listening to one the recent episode where one of the guest says that her favorite moat is Monopoly. And also that she likes cigarettes companies as they a great moat. She clearly never heard of ESG investing or she is just plainly greedy . If she is trying to support and profit from all the bad practices in the economy. She should mention the harmful side effect and the risk associated with those investment, humane effect and the risk to investors due to ESG affect . Thanks love the show though .

Decent show until they ran an hour long ad for whole life insurance.

“Sacred” account?? C’mon, you fell for that? Generally good guests on this show and good investment principles. However, I stopped following when they had a guest on who stated 99% of whole life insurance policies are designed incorrectly. “BUT! Come buy a policy from me and I’ll hook you up with a good one.” The claim that the top 1% buy whole life insurance may be partially true. But that’s mostly because the top 1% are unsuspecting whales harpooned by greedy life insurance agents. Not because a cash value life insurance product helped them build any of that wealth. The “bank on yourself” strategy is a very clever marketing strategy that apparently still works. Buyer beware. Anyway, I’m moving on from this show.

Now a Platform for Salespeople

Can’t believe I listened as a “financial advisor” talked about cash value life insurance to build wealth, with no disclosure by host or himself that this is easily one of the most highly commissioned financial products in the industry. If I earned one year’s worth of premium with a sale, I’d have a hard time being biased as well. Or that the supposed safe cash portion growth of 3-5% is dependent on the stock market. Not sure if it’s the new host or not, but this was a massive issue for me. Did she even research it enough to bring up counterpoints, namely what if you invested in the market separately and bought life insurance separately (hint: you will come out ahead) or what his commission is or what if the stock market doesn’t do as well as it has for the last 15 years? Been a fan since the beginning. But this is an Unsubscribe for me.

Favourite investing podcast

I recently found this show and can say this is my favourite investing podcast! The host does a great job of covering a range of topics and I like that it’s not like other investing podcasts that just focus on the latest trendy stocks to buy, rather practical long term strategies. I enjoyed the episodes on factor investing. That is something I have been interested in and haven’t found many other podcasts that really cover this strategy.

Pitiful

A friend recommended this podcast to me. I listened to a few episodes and was awestruck by how bad it is. The episodes drift from one scattered topic to the next, with no overarching investment philosophy. The hosts, and most of the guests, also seem to know nothing about investment and market theory. They just seem to induce listeners to chase the next hot trend - a sure way to lose money. If it’s true that every generation has to learn from its own mistakes, this podcast will help millennials learn a lot.

A Modernist’s Approach to Financial Planning w/ Georgia Lee Hussey

The interview and content was not at the level of this podcast’s previous episodes. The interviewer is monotone and sounds robotic.

I really love this podcast and how it’s diversity of who they interview really shows you a good picture of things that are available to you for opportunities to make side hustles, invest in your future and overall the interviews are helpful and the interviewer asked really awesome questions. I really like that he puts the information in so that I can search and check out more about the topics that I have particular interesting or even topics that I wanna just learn more about. Good Podcast

This podcast provides more in depth financial information than most personal finance podcasts out there. I would recommend it as an intermediate level finance podcast. They keep enough personality in the interviews to keep a dry topic interesting.

Everyone should be listening to this

Love these guys! Honestly, everyone should be listening to this because investing and financial literacy in general is not something you really learn in school. At least I didn’t and I felt so intimidated by these concepts for so long. But this podcast has made it so much more accessible. The way they talk about this stuff actually makes sense and is also entertaining. They make so even I can understand and I have the attention span of a goldfish.

Outstanding show

Robert and co. Continue the traditional of mass appeal and making investing palatable to the everyperson. The content is diverse and informative, the pace of the show is fluid, and the questions are knocked out the park. Robert is always well-prepared and brings the listener into the room (well, virtually at least) with the interviewee. A+
