    Great feel good podcast
I stumbled on this today and have been binge listening. Being Outdoors is my therapy and I am stuck in bed with a bad cold today. This was the most soothing thing I could find. Thank you Carol! I hope you have the chance to make many more episodes. I’ll be listening!

    My Favorite Podcast!!
I was so sad when this podcast left the air a couple of years ago. Yesterday I was listening to a different podcast and they recommended a story from Humanature. I was like “oh no, they’re back! Yay!” I have a couple of episodes from the old times that I keep download it to listen to them occasionally. Row Row Row Your Boat being one of them and Bigfoot being the other. So happy to have you back on. So happy to have a favorite again. Thank you for reigniting this!

    Miss HumanNature
HumanNature is easily my favorite podcast. The stories are heartwarming, interesting, & well-told & produced. I wish that the series was still being told. I’m using this time to listen to all the episodes that were released before I was a dedicated listener. 💕 I hope you all are doing well. Thanks for making a great show!

    Always a delight
Now that I’m fully caught up on episodes I can say this is a favorite for me. As a New Yorker I enjoy the different perspective of Wyoming stories! But the overall diversity is wonderful, I feel like I’m always on an adventure. Touching on different moods is also great, and episodes are well crafted and nicely timed in length. Keep up the fantastic work :) also hosts voice is extremely soothing! Like a nature walk for your ears

    Quite the podcast!
Amazing little gem of a podcast I found by searching the word Wyoming! I’m originally from the state of Wyoming and was incredibly happy to find a podcast that was interesting and funny and inspiring at the same time! Love this! Keep up the good work!

    Caught up quickly
I found out about HumaNature when it was featured on the Threshold podcast (September 25th). By early November, I had caught up with all 67 episodes (now more). I listen to several reporting-style podcasts. HumaNature help me to balance the news with engaging stories. These stories of humans and nature are great to listen to while living and working in the east coast (U.S.) suburbs.

Creative storytelling mixed with great producing
This is one of the most unique and interesting podcasts out there. It definitely asks some philosophical questions about how humans, animals, and nature relate, interact and exist among other things. It’s a fun experience to listen to with a Wyoming twist here and there

Original, refreshing, and full of Adventure!
I LOVE THIS PODCAST. Wyoming public media knocks this one out of the park. I listen on many long work days, road trips, and late nights. Their topics always are intriguing and each episode touches you in different ways. With an amazing variety of stories, the hosts mix great story telling with humor, emotional moments, suspense, and more! Humanature podcast transports you to places and allows you to hear from people that you may not have known or experienced otherwise. Great GREAT listening for all!

    Excellent story telling, excellent production
Humans and nature. These stories are some of the most riveting stories told over the air, on podcasts, or around the campfire. I absolutely love this podcast, and was turned onto it by “Outside In” podcast from NH. The soundtrack that goes below the story telling is phenomenal. Even the theme song moves me! Please please try this podcast. You can thank me later!

Wyoming must be an interesting place
Imagine, a New Yorker found this podcast originating from Wyoming, and can’t wait for the next episode? Lost in the wild, hunting for a lost elk, helicopters going down, trailblazing to Oregon by a once-teenage pilot that crisscrossing America by air in a piper cub, a lost family dog in the snow...what else can I live vicariously through in a podcast? I may never get out to WY, but I’ll get to know it thru Humanature. (Btw, love the portmanteau you’ve created with human and nature. If first thought it was huma nature, in deference to crooked Hillary’s chief of staff clueless Huma Abedin...glad it’s not!)

    Like a good campfire story!
HumaNature is the first production that I have donated to. It just speaks to me; like a great group of friends sitting around the campfire and telling stories. The production quality if wonderful, the stories are interesting, and I'm always happy when a new episodes appears! Keep up the good work!

    Glad I found this gem!
I work from home and listen to pod cast all day everyday. I was so burnt out on true crime and needed something new. Humanature has been a breath of fresh air for me! I absolutely love every episode!

If you love well told, short stories; you will love this podcast.
I am a big fan of well told, short stories and this podcast went above and well beyond my expectations. I work by myself a lot so it was nice having the company of each persons words that they interviewed. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to hear a well produced, real life story. I listened to the entire 1st season in one day it was so good!

    Positive & Engaging
Digestible yet compelling story about hikers having an accidental bear spray incident in their tent, they can't see because of the capsaicin effects and then they come across bears.... what are the odds? I found it to be positive and engaging.... their sense of adventure felt very real!

Human Nature is my favorite podcast ❤️
I love this podcast. I get excited every time I see there a new one. I found this podcast because I won a T-shirt and thought I would check it out. Now I am addicted and I tell people all the time to check out this podcast. I wear my shirt all the time and people always ask about it. I hope I help to spread word and have been told that other people love it.

Most of the year my mind is the Rockies but I only visit god the summer. This is one way to get a mountain west fix the rest of the year.

Stories of human experience in a more-than-human world
If I have to be in traffic or in a city, being able to listen to stories of others' experiences in the more clearly more-than-human parts of the world is the next best thing.

Almost as good as being outside
This past spring, I switched from full time field work as an environmental technician to working mostly indoors and this podcast made that transition so much easier. I couldn't get enough of the stories and have yet to encounter one that I didn't love. The storytelling is top notch and the interviews are wonderful as well! As a woman in natural resources, I appreciate all of the outdoorsy women you feature in your show. I'm a listener for life :)

Great format, so many interesting characters and stories!
Interesting even if you don't think you like the environment :)

Always captivating, often moving and surprising
I'm really enjoying this podcast! I admire and appreciate the way the people tell their stories simply and directly--and what great stories they are. I also like that they're relatively short, so it's easy to fit in a listen in and around other things in my life.

    A hidden gem!!!!
I listened to one of its episodes from the podcast Inside/Out. I instantly fell in love with this podcast, and listened to all the episodes in a week. I love all the stories and how they present the connections and interactions between human and the nature. It is a hidden gem in public radio! Love it!
  • Royalaxation
    Great stories
Like sitting around a campfire, listening to a friend tell a great story. Loved the recent running story, and the one about the cross-country skier cursing the snowmobilers was deeply felt and very emotional.
  • CalenCross
    This is a great podcast!
The stories that HumaNature create are so interesting and unusual. If you are at all interested in nature and how humans interact with it, then this a must listen.

If you’re intellectually curious, have a sense of humour, and love nature, this is the podcast for you.

    My new favorite podcast
Perfect (and clever) title for my new favorite podcast. Compelling stories of many different kinds--those that made me laugh out loud (Ep 8: Row Row Row Your Boat. Or Not) and those that made me weepy for days (Ep 11: Hoofprints on the Heart). I love that you let your subjects tell their own stories and don't "over-produce" with distracting sound editing, as seems popular these days, but complement with music that enhances the stories. Each story is thought-provoking and enduring. I am so grateful to you for this podcast, and am recommending it to everyone I know. Donation to support you, done! Thank you, truly!

    An Excellent Listen
I love how HumaNature expertly melds experiences in the outdoors with deeper psychological and/or societal topics. I'm also a fan of the shorter episode times - proof that a podcast doesn't need to last an hour to really make an impact!
